After releasing her debut album ‘Being,’ the Afro-Irish songstress Tolü Makay has shared the video for album highlight “Wild Thang.”
Inspired by the 1992 book ‘Women Who Run With Wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, “Wild Thang” captures warped societal starnards and sets them free through poetic songwriting and a jazz/pop infused melody.
“Taking ownership of the word “wild” to mean natural state. It isn’t something to be afraid of rather it’s to be embraced,” Makay elaborated.
The carefree vibe is carried over into the bright video that radiates confidence.
