After releasing his debut single, “Chasing Highs” in October, Griff Clawson has returned with a Zombie inspired music video.
The San Clemente native worked alongside director Brett Bassock to tell the story of a jealous boyfriend that tries to come between a Zombie romance.
“The director Brett Bassock and I were at our friends house talking about potentially doing a video for the song when Matt King, I think half-jokingly, suggested we make it a Zombie theme to play on the word, “chasing.” Immediately Brett and I loved the idea and created the visual story line so that it made sense with the song. The juxtaposition of the eerie zombie vibe with the sweet, romantic song felt special from the beginning and I think really came out in the best way in the video,” Clawson explained.
To help bring this story to life, Clawson enlisted the help of Bella Giannulli, daughter of Lori Loughlin and Toddy Smith, actor and member of David Dobrik’s “Vlog Squad.”
The apocalyptic love story paired with the acoustic guitar and endearing lyrics don’t prepare you for the ending.
