IT’S A ME, MARIO. Mario & Luigi are the stars of their movie! The Super Mario Bros. Movie, based off the world of Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) shows the brothers as plumbers, helping the residents of NYC with their lovely plumbing issues. On one job, they randomly get sucked into the odd universe, full of mushrooms, colorful and dark worlds and one depressing blue star. While getting sucked in, Luigi gets split up and sucked into the dark world, Bowser’s (Jack Black) world, Mario needs to save his brother alongside, Princess Peach and the Kong clan, and of course some mushroom power. They prepare for the fight of their lives throughout the movie, and to prevent Bowser manipulatively marrying Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy). The movie nods to classic Mario video games as well of course, like Mario Kart with everyone’s favorite colorful course, Rainbow Road. It’s a perfect movie to watch only if you’re a fan and get the references, if not, this one might be a bit too much.
