Jamaican deejay/singjay Shenseea has dropped her latest single “Run Run,” along with its epic music video.
Shenseea’s ascent to global stardom first began in Jamaica’s dancehall scene. As she climbed the dancehall ranks, she got her first taste of virality with her club-worthy hit “Loodi” feat. Vybez Kartel. After millions of listens, she caught the attention of Interscope Records, who signed her.
Her latest label release, “Run Run,” produced by DiGenius (Drake, Burna Boy) takes inspiration from her dancehall days with a dance beat and earworm hook.
“Run Run’s” story gets a cinematic treatment with its epic visual. The music video, directed by Christian Bresleur, features Shenseea riding through the deserts and sitting on her throne in a lush lair as she seeks revenge on a lover who stole and broke her heart.
Shenseea will take a break from recording her debut album to take the stage at Rolling Loud on Friday, July 23rd for her first ever U.S. festival performance.
