Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival Celebrates 10 Years with Line-Up Featuring Cage the Elephant, Fisher, and The Lumineers

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (OMF) is bringing back 2016, with its 10-year reunion festival edition. From Thursday, March 19, through Sunday, March 22, music and nature will once again converge at Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Florida, featuring a multi-genre lineup led by heavy hitters like Cage The Elephant, Fisher, and The Lumineers. This year’s festival also marks OMF’s return following a three-year hiatus.

The weekend kicks off Thursday with Cage The Elephant, Dirty Heads, and Knock2 leading the charge, with direct support from Alison Wonderland, Big Wild, Ganja White Night, Level Up, and The Disco Biscuits. Staying true to the festival’s community-driven ethos, 4-Day ticket holders will have access to a full slate of wellness offerings, as well as the festival’s first-ever Aquachobee Dub Reggae Takeover, featuring a traditional Nyabinghi Drumming Opening Ceremony.

On Friday, Okeechobeeings, as festivalgoers are affectionately known, will see headliners GRiZ and T-Pain, alongside performances from Freddie Gibbs, Gramatik, Japanese Breakfast, and more. Saturday brings together Fisher and LCD Soundsystem, while GRiZ returns for a special Chasing the Golden Hour set. In a nod to its beginnings, OMF will also revive PoWoW!, the all-star jam session that helped define the inaugural 2016 festival.

The weekend wraps with performances from Big Boi (Outkast), Flipturn, Young The Giant, Beltran, LSDream, and Zingara before The Lumineers close out the festival.

Additional experiences include Incendia, a four-night inferno of underground energy, bass, and special guests curated by Renegade, and the Jungle 51 Stage, presenting extended sets by internationally renowned DJs from sundown to sunrise.

Over the past decade, the independent festival has solidified itself as an event guided by “a mandate of authenticity, kindness, and respect between each other and the environment we inhabit,” as note in a OMF press release, and this year’s edition aims to continue that legacy.
