After captivating listeners with his debut EP ‘Lighthouse,’ Livingston has returned with his latest single “Superkid.”
Inspired by his own struggles with bullying, anxiety and self-doubt, the Denton, Texas native has created an “orchestral cinematic pop” track that encourages embracing authenticity and confronting obstacles.
“’Superkid’ is a song for anyone going through a massive change of scenery – it’s a cautionary tale to remember that running away from your problems won’t do away with your insecurity, and a reminder that you never need to try and change who you truly are to blend in with the crowd,” Livingston shared.
Livingston’s signature storytelling is brought to life in the powerful companion visual. In his directorial debut, Livingston tells the story of a kid who doesn’t fit in, but is surrounded by individuals, all played by Livingston, that remind him of the strength in standing out.
“Superkid” is the first single off of Livingston’s forthcoming sophomore EP, ‘An Unlikely Origin Story’ due out in 2021.
