“Invisible Enemy” is the latest single from London blues/soul artist Georgia Black.
During quarantine, Black was reminded of a conversation that she had with Roberta, a colleague at her day job, who said “don’t you think it’s crazy that whenever we’re usually unwell, we feel we have to be the hero and push ourselves to go to work, but right now, to be the hero is the other way round?”
Inspired by Roberta’s perspective, Black began working with producer Joshua Woolf and Grammy Award winning mix/mastering engineer Aamir Yaqub (Rihanna, Sia, David Guetta) to develop a cinematic sound to capture the sentiment and transport listeners to a spy movie soundscape, rich with dramatic strings and Black’s soulful voice.
