Since releasing his debut single in Summer 2020, Montreal-based producer Moe Chaieb has been honing his signature moody sound by blending house, R&B, pop, and synth melodies.
His latest single, “Fly Off,” an ode to letting go, draws from the pop influence with its catchy lyrics sung by Claire Ridgely and vibe worthy rhythm.
Chaieb’s ingenuity is not just limited to his sound. As a former software engineer, Chaieb was able to record “Fly Away” in one take with Ridgely recording her vocals remotely.
“Fly Away” teases what is to come from Chaieb’s forthcoming Here You Can Leave Me EP next month, which includes featured artists and an accompanying short film inspired by Swiss modernist graphic designers, such as Odermatt, Tissi and Brockmann, as well as leaders in the Light and Space movement, like James Turrell.
