Fresh off his critically acclaimed label-debut, “fantasize,” ericadoa is expressing his frustrations in his new single “back n forth.”
The song begins with a pulsing, restrained beat over which Doa expresses his discontent with unstable relationships and unreliable partners. That pent-up aggravation is unleashed in a satisfying and earworm-worthy hook.
Another layer is added to the bold single with its explosive visual directed by Oliver Cannon (Pop Smoke, Lil Uzi Vert, Sheck Wes). In the video, Doa drives his 2008 Hyundai Sonata into a clearing and releases his frustration on the car with the help of golf clubs and fireworks.
Between his solid introduction with last year’s “COA,” his collaboration with glaive earlier this year, and now this, the Connecticut native’s career is anything but uncertain.
