Following singles, “Why Aren’t We Having Sex?”, “Getting Good” and “Starry Eyed,” Liza Owen has returned with her bold new song, “Josie,” and its cinematic video.
The anthemic and raw track reveals a relationship gone sour and is guided by a genre-bending melody that blends pop with country.
“JOSIE was born out of a conversation in the car on the way to the studio,” Owen explains, “I was recounting a story about some recent drama in my relationship regarding an ex of my partners. I was telling my friends & co writers Ali Tamposin & Paul Phamous that ‘Josie ‘ was back in town… the rest is history”
The track is paired with an equally epic video directed by Aisha Schliessler. The widescreen visual is shot in one take following Owen through the iconic Sunset Hollywood Villa known for its use in Bond films.
