Since their 2020 debut “Underwater,” rising British band MIYA MIYA has become synonymous with infectious, anthemic tracks. Their latest single, “Rules,” unsurprisingly, is an earworm.
Heralded by orchestral strings, the single graduates into a down-tempo, percussive verse, and crescendos into an anthemic hook.
Gini and Jordan’s harmonious vocals blend with lo-fi effects and powerful guitar and drums from Gio and James, respectively.
The single comes on the heels of “Hear Me Say,” co-written for Jonas Blue and features on Syn Cole’s “Feels Like Love” and GOLD RVSH’s re-work of the Luther Vandross classic “Never Too Much.”
