In March, Slush Puppy captured the classic outcast falls for cool girl story with “Juliette.” This Summer, he is continuing the narrative with “Barbie Doll.”
Co-produced by Evan Gartner and Pink Slip, Slush Puppy shares his perspective on “wanting to be with someone so bad that you are willing to change your entire self and character to keep their attention. I wanted to creatively express what it feels like to overcompensate for being insecure,” Slush Puppy says.
Slush puppy incorporates these emotionally deep lyrics with an upbeat grit to create an indie-pop earworm.
“Barbie Doll” is the most recent single off Slush Puppy’s forthcoming debut EP.
